Aim:
To stage a challenging hill run in the spectacular Grampian mountains
To provide a well managed, safe and enjoyable race for all competitors
To raise funds for and awareness of Braemar Mountain Rescue Team
To promote adventure tourism in the Scottish Highlands
To promote longer hill runs in Scotland and the Scottish Classic Long Hill Race series
To provide an opportunity for competitors to boost their Munro tally by nine!

All proceeds from the entry fee will go to Braemar Mountain Rescue Team

Venue: 
Glenshee Ski Centre (GR NO138 781)

Registration:
From 10.00am to 11.30am at Glenshee Ski Centre cafe

Conditions for entry:
Competitors must be at least 18 years of age.
Competitors must have completed 3 category AL/AM hill races
or equivalent (events such as OMM, LAMM, GL3D will be considered by race director).
Limited entry of 100 before the closing date.
Substitutes are allowed on the day if they have above experience.

Time allowances:
Competitors must reach Seann Spittal car park (GR NO 149 800) in 3.5 hours or they will be have to return to the ski centre café by the A93 (2km by road)

Retiral:
Please report to a marshal at any checkpoint and also at the finish.

Equipment:
Competitors must carry full body cover, map, compass, whistle and emergency food plus other clothing appropriate to the weather conditions.

Course:  Route
Approx 21miles, 6000ft. The course has 10 checkpoints.
There will be an orienteering style kite and punch or marshal at each checkpoint and all checkpoints must be visited by each competitor in the order listed.
Competitors may take any route between checkpoints.
Competitors are expected to have navigation skills. Much of the course is on a high level featureless plateau.
None of the route will be waymarked.

Facilities & Accommodation:
Toilets and limited changing facilties are available at the ski centre.
Sorry no shower facilities.

Ample free car parking at the ski centre
